Primal Sky
The Biodesign Challenge is an international competition that partners engineers, environmental scientists, artists, and biologists to create new biotechnology to solve world problems.
At the University of Toledo, my group created Primal Sky, an innovative solution to problems like asthma and allergies by adding beneficial microbes into the home environment. Primal Sky has the capabilities to read, in real time, the microbiome of the home through the use of the __. Primal Sky then releases microbes based on the levels that are low.
Users have the ability to access a variety of information that Primal Sky reads, including temperature, humidity, Carbon Dioxide, and Carbon Monoxide levels of the home.
Dr. Gwynne Mhuireach, a researcher at the Institute for Health in the Built Environment, said that Primal Sky represents an exciting and cutting-edge approach to reducing allergy and mental well-being.
