In 2019, the University of Toledo's New Media Design Practices students collaborated on a mural design for the Toledo Museum of Art's Art Library. The mural was completed using vinyl sheets that were cut to the shapes needed and carefully pasted across multiple windows. Minimal vinyl was used so that the windows are still functional, but a more interesting visual was added. Due to the nautical architectural design of the space, students decided to continue with that theme, while also incorporating elements that are iconic to the Toledo Museum of Art, such as the iconic Alexander Calder "Stegosaurus" sculpture. Other design elements also incorporated ideas of knowledge and communication.
